    Trinidad Lake is a multipurpose project for flood control, irrigation

    and recreation.  Trinidad is in the heart of historic coal mining

    country.  The community of Cokedale, just northwest of the lake

    was named for its coke ovens.

      There are three campgrounds with 104 campsites available. 

    Campsites are administered by the U.S. Forest Service, Pike and CO
