Name, City, Type of Resource

These hotels are not your everyday, side-of-the-interstate boxes, but places where people stayed in the past.  Some of them still operate as places to stay, others are museums.  If you know of others that belong on this list, let us know.

Description  The Hotel de Paris Museum in Georgetown is a marvelously preserved Victorian-era structure with several first class collections in furnishings, china, books and art prints. Louis Dupuy, a native of France and a man of prodigious talents and not a few foibles, started the hotel in 1875 with money given to him by the town's residents after he saved the life of a then fellow miner. Over the twenty- five years between 1875 and 1900 Chef Dupuy constructed a hotel and presided over a dining room of national renown  text courtesy of Hotel de Paris
