Description  The Hotel de Paris Museum in Georgetown is a marvelously preserved Victorian-era structure with several first class collections in furnishings, china, books and art prints. Louis Dupuy, a native of France and a man of prodigious talents and not a few foibles, started the hotel in 1875 with money given to him by the town's residents after he saved the life of a then fellow miner. Over the twenty- five years between 1875 and 1900 Chef Dupuy constructed a hotel and presided over a dining room of national renown  text courtesy of Hotel de Paris
